The rose has also, of course, been associated with love and passion from the beginning of time. It is said that Cupid dipped his arrows in rose oil to pierce his victimís heart with adoration. Today modern brain scans reveal that the portion of the brain where positive emotion and compassion originates is stimulated by less than 5 micron of rose molecule volatility. Should there be any surprise that recent chemical studies also find that the gentle gerinol chemical content of rose oil reduces high blood pressure and arrhythmia of the heart? Very expensive therapy however since it takes 4,000 kg. of Damascus rose petals to produce 1 kg. of pure oil, thatís a lot of flower power and love!
